Excuse me if I'm reading this wrong...but why are you trying to get it out of the housing. Brand new assembly for $97 ready to bolt on. I might be confused with what you are trying to do. Please enlighten me!!

He's probably converting to electric. I just pressed mine out. Just brace it up as best you can.

He is removing it to install an electric water pump I'm guessing. Mine came out in a press with no problem. Are you trying to go the wrong way or something? I pressed mine from the center shaft in the impeller out. Remember, it comes out of the back of the pump, not the front. If you are pressing from back to front, you will break the housing.

Yeah it can be a little tricky. I know I wailed on mine pretty good. Just be patient and use a punch and give it a few good wacks.

if I read this right, you are pressing from back to front?

if so, stop, you need to press from front to back
