How to get some more power.

Hi i have a 95 z28. Im looking to tweak some HP out of it without spending a ton. I have a Corsa cat-back system and im purchasing headers and a y-pipe and deleting the cat. The engine was recently rebuilt andhad a cam thrown in. Its a Comp cams .050 duration 206 in 212 Ex lobe lift .3200 in .3250 Ex sepration 112.0 with new valve springs. i have a TPIS air foil and a G2 cold air intake woth a Donaldson HF filter. A hypertech tuner. TPIS air foil. hyper tech 160 degree Thermostat. everything else is stock and i was just looking to see what i can do without doing major work like heads and intake mainfold I really dont have the money to anything like that yet as because I just bought the car. So any suggestions would be very helpful thank you.

What kind of budget are you working with and what are your goals?

There are a few problems with your current mod list so refining what you have might be a good place to start.

1. Also......get some 3.42 or (better yet) 3.73 gears;

2. Mail order tune from a reputable vendor;

3. 2600 stall TC (if you have an A4 tranny);

4. 1.6 rocker arms could hurt either.....make sure you valve springs can handle the overall lift.

But hey.....that's just me .

BTW.....deleting the cat will net you 2-3 HP......if you're lucky.

X2 on this, although a 3000rpm stall maybe better

Re: How to get some more power.

i have a brand new converter in it i mean i it was put in like 3,000 miles ago so im guna hold off on that. I could do the rocker arms and i just want the cat off cuz i like the way it sounds without it. i mean im willing to put a good 4,000 into the car during the summer intill i can save up some cash over the next winter months for some heads but other then that thats my budget. Id also like to put a new panhard bar and control rear control arms and a strut tower. i have eibach pro kit on the rear with bilestein shocks i was a afraid to put the coils on the front due to the hard enough time i have getting in and out of places with it now because of how low it is. also i have the ss sway bars on the car.
