Promagnum noise level

I just got done installing some comp cams promagnum 1.6 SA rocker arms. Lifters are Comp R (before they were bad), cam is CC306. Turned 1/6th turn past zero lash.
I know there have been lots of threads about promagnum 1.6 (not ultra pro magnum) noise levels and its agreed that they are fairly loud. I found one thread from awhile back that has the exact same thing I am wondering about now.
https://www.camaroz28.com/forums/lt1...ockers-633579/

I too am curious as to why/if it is normal that it only sounds like a couple "sewing machines" or clicking rather than say... 16. Nobody really addressed this issue in the thread. Mainly talked about the noise level. Just as he experienced, it seems the noise level is minimal at start up but more as it gets to operating temp.
Is this normal? Would you recommend going back in and checking lash? If so what should I expect with the pushrods? (be able to spin them or no?)

Thanks in advance. Would love to get injuneer's or shoebox's input

For comparison, have a listen at the beginning of this....1/2 turn lash and "new" stock lifters.

Re: Promagnum noise level

Excellent video and audio. Pretty much what my valvetrain sounds like and what I wanted to hear. Puts my mind at ease. Thanks!

Mine might not be that loud (maybe because I have LT4 valve covers), but ProMags are not real quiet.

Eric, your car looks and sounds great.

I never can hear mine over all the other noises the car makes. Composite valve covers or even covers made with a thicker metal might help. Are you certain they're not just noisy because they're not adjusted properly?

Thanks! I have a set of brand new LT4 valve covers I bought off this board years ago and have not installed them. The powder coated red ones looked so good to me(against the blue of the car) that I left them on it(cameras make them look washed out or even a little orange at times). As I understand things, the LT4 covers should quiet them down a little. The ticking sound is amplified by long tube headers as well.

I need to get the nose painted and learn how to properly shift from 3-4(instead of 3-2) and I'll be uptown! Although, I suppose a bent valve would be a good excuse to go ahead with either AI or LE2 heads.
