has anyone had and/or fixed this problem? it only seems to happen in the cold weather but it drives me nuts every time i shift. ive tried spraying wd40 but it doesnt seem to work. im also not exactly sure where its comming from. any help would be great

 

Try spraying it with some white lithium grease.

 

anyone know exactly where to lubricate it?

 

my squeak in my s-10 was coming from the rod sliding in and out of the bushing in the cylinder. try getting some lithium grease on it towards the firewall and it should help out. Mine didn't completely disappear till I changed it when I did a clutch swap.
