Of course I had the rear of the car on ramps and the front I had to creat an 8" raised deck to place the jack stands on. I used (4) 4"x8"x16" CMU blocks each side with a plywood cap to spread the load of the jack stand. The car was not high enough to install from the bottom with jack stands only, the extra 8" is needed and once you have it up...very easy. The driver side is a whole other story

That was the same problem I had, it was hitting right on one if the side head bolts and no way was going past it. Once you jack the motor up has high as it will go, remove the top half of the motor mount and it will go from the bottom, once its laying in there, you have to manuvour it around the "U" tube coming off the AC compressor, it may take a bit of forcing to initially get it up there, the back of the header flange was digging into the firewall pretty good on mine but it eventually went up. The angle of the header going thru the bottom didn't seem like it was too much perpendicular with the ground, maybe 45 degrees.
