How far will 24lb injectors go?

How far will 24lb injectors go?

current combo:396CI,12 to 1,Ported AFR heads,CC305,soon to be 306,52mm TB,3.42 gears,street driven,so far best time on motor 12.1@114,full bodied 3700#,i have 24# injectors currently,doesnt seem to be running lean up top,have gone 128 Mph on a 175 shot,24#'s seem to be doing the job but do u think power will go up with 30's? CJ

doesnt SEEM to go lean....eeeeeeeeek! You def need some injectors in there.

With that combo alone I'd go bigger. ESPECIALLY considering the nitrous. Get some bigger ones ASAP!

Thx for the quick response,MT1 in Texas claims 24# injectors are good for 500RWHP,that Thunderchicken project they did a while back in GM Hightech had 24# inj. & Made 421 RWHP & 500plus Flywheel

I've got a HOTcam, homeported heads, bolt ons and tuning. My injectors are running about 91-92% duty cycle. They are either 22 or 24, I forgot which. It's better to go ahead and get some bigger ones. If nothing else they won't have to work as hard, but I'm pretty sure you are about to max out what you have now.

On my 370 NA LT1 I'm running SVO 24# inj, motor making in the range of 630 hp at the flexplax.

I think you need bigger injectors.. I would go with atleast 36# ... My car i have 30# and stock bottom end and i hit 78to 81% duty cycle N/A haven't even tried the nitrous yet........

Pick up the latest issue of High Performance Pontiac (Feb edition). There's a really good article on injectors from Ray Bohacz in there.
