Question How far from mid/low 12s??

right now i am in the process of waiting for my engine rebuild to be done with. I have a 96 Camaro SS with the following mods:

K&N
160 Degree Thermostat
March Pulleys
Vortech Aluminum Elbow
BBK 52mm Throttle Body
Granatelli Mass Air Flow Sensor
Denso Iridium Spark Plugs
MSD Wires
LT4 Knock Module
MAC Headers w/ O.R. Y-Pipe
Cutouts
MSD Blaster Coil
Ported and Polished Stock Heads
Bored 30 over
Comp Cam 306
GM Extreme Timing Chain
Comp 1.6 RRs
Crane Valve Springs
Eibach Drag Launch Kit
Multi-angle valve job
McLeod Clutch
PCMforless Tuning
4.10s

I really am curious where i should be. I want the mid/low 12. How far am i and what can i do? Time estimates would be nice. Never have run it at the track

I bet ur running low 13s/high 12s how u sit right now, depending on how good of a driver u are.

Any flow numbers on the heads? to what degree were they ported? What did u use in your engine rebuild?

ET streets then probably a rear but then you would need some tuning and weight reduction you could run 11's with everything just right. Later

CC306+Ported heads = big HP. You should definitely be in the low 12s with halfway decent traction. Hook well and 11s aren't out of the question.

Speed pro was used on the rebuild i believe the hypereutectic pistons, at .3 over and compression around 10:1

also would be curious what i would get out of some stage 1 afr heads.

The basic porting u have on your heads now would be considered probably "Stage I". Your best bet would be to save ur money for Stage II heads, which is where u can gain some power. Stage I's area basically a cleaned up head, with a light port job. Stage II's are designed for power output.

It won't make much difference. What head gaskets did you use and how did you fiqure your compression ratio? The stock compression is closer to 10.5.1.

i'm actually not completely sure about everything one the engine kit. I am taking a guess and saying he used the rebuild kit like summit has by sealed power. Not really sure about the compression, just know thats what it says in summit. Either way will this help me over stock?

out of all of the mods at the top of this post, i just now got the CC306, 1.6 Roller Rocker, Valve springs w/ retainers, New pistons, bored .30 over, stock ported and polished heads, 4.10s, mcleod clutch, PCMforless.com tunning, and new timing chain.

What i really need to know is will i get a nice seat of my pants feel, and pull considerably harder then it was.

Dude, stop "TTT"ing ur posts every hour. Ur supposed to do it ONCE every 24 HOURS at the earliest.

Ur compression ratio is affected by the decking of ur heads too, so ask the guy who did ur heads if he had them made for a different compression ratio. Unless u got these from a machine shop or a well known ported head company, it's probably stock. Also depends on your gaskets.
