Anyone know how easy the shaft on a mechanical waterpump should turn in your fingers? It just seems like it should spin easier than it does. Basically what i'm asking is whether or not it should have some resistance to it or just spin like a wheel on good roller bearings?

 

Its is a ball bearing. It does have some resistance but you should be definatley able to turn it by hand.
