Exclamation How to drop this damn driveshaft?!

Sorry for such a stupid newby type of question, but I have the torque arm off. I have the 4 bolts off the back and the two retainers off. So now what? Seems like the shaft is just sitting there but it doesn't wanna budge.

Now all you have to do is push the driveshaft towards the front of the car. It will take some pressure, but push it forward enough so that you can then pull it straight back out of the transmission.

You don't need to remove the TA. The driveshaft's u-joint can be pretty snug in the saddles. You need to pry the driveshaft forward out of the the pinion yoke. At that point it will slide forward into the tranny far enough for the rear to drop down and then it slides completely out.

Tap it with a rubber mallet. It will come out. And yes, torque arm can stay in for this.
