How does the LE1 Idle?
How does the LE1 Idle?
Anyone have this setup and can tell me first hand. LE's site says it idles like a hotcam or cc305. I have this package on order and have seen the specs of the cam and am just wondering if it really does idle like these other cams?
Re: How does the LE1 Idle?
really, the idles are that much different on the two? Their durations are only about 2* different. Maybe you heard one on a 112 and one on a 114 LSA or something.

Re: How does the LE1 Idle?
Looking at the specs it seems to me that it will deffinatly have a chop to it, which isnt bad. But with it being a custom cam and all im not sure if for some reason it will be smooth.
Just looking for someone who has actually heard it.

Re: How does the LE1 Idle?
I have a slightly toned down version of the LE1 cam (mine's about 220/226) and his stage 1 heads. Through the stock cat, flowmaster, and manifolds it sounded pretty bad. So I assume the LE1 cam sounds more bad. Now I have LTs on with two high flow cats and it is a lot quieter.

Re: How does the LE1 Idle?
According to an e-mail I received from Lloyd the idle will be "slightly more radical" than a hotcam or a CC305. Remember that exhaust, tuning, and idle rpm can significantly effect how lopey a car sounds, in a lot of cases more than the cam itself.
