How do you know your intake manifold has a oil leak?

How do you know your intake manifold has a oil leak?
Well how would i find out? The dealer said i had it and another mechanic said i shouldn't worry about it. Does it hurt the car/performance?

Yes it will hurt your performance. Just run your hand along the back of the intake, if it's all oily and nasty you have a leak.
