How do you get the VATS wire out and back in the column?
How do you get the VATS wire out and back in the column?
I lost the keys to my car and someone had changed the key before so the key I had made at the dealer didn't work. I had an extra lock cylinder out of my race car that I put in it. It happened to have a chip with the resistance needed to make the VATS happy. I tested this by just hooking the wires from the old switch that I cut to the new switch connector.
Now how do I get that orange wire out and back thru the column?

To Remove: Wrap a wire (thin, but fairly strong) around the small harness that goes through the column, down by the connector, and pull the old cylinder out slowly.
To Install: Just reverse the procedure.
