How do you get rid of cam surge???
How do you get rid of cam surge???
I'm getting a good amount of surging under 1600 or 1700 RPM. I know there are people with cc306's and such that don't have surging. How do I deal with the surging? Is it something mechanical or tuning? If so, what do I need to change? I can have Brian just change whatever needs to be changed. I can also log runs on freescan so is there anything specific I will look for that indiciates surge that can be adjusted? I'd love to have this thing perfectly driveable.

Thank you, drive through.
The low rpm surges are usually caused by bad tuning. Your signature says PCMFORLESS tuning, maybe the mail-order tune isn't working out too good at lower rpm. You might want to try to get a LT1 Edit and do it yourself. If it not tuning, you might want to get some steeper gears to get the revs up a little. Good luck.

I was thinking about getting steeper gears but I'm pretty sure that's not the problem. It is the tuning... but I don't know how to use LT1-edit. That's why I was asking if there was things I should look for in specific on freescan. If somebody can point me to a tutorial for lt1 edit or something of the sort that would be cool.
Try www.lt1edit.com or www.carputing.com for a tutorial on LT1 edit.
