How do you get the motor mount housing apart?

Just dropped my K-member and my stock motor mounts are sagging an increadible ammount.

How do you get them out of the "shell" that they are in? Do you just put a screw driver inbetween the pieces and pry them apart or whats the trick?

You have to drill out those rivets.

I have the prothane no complaints. Never have held a ES mount to compare them.

Same here. Prothane has treated me well so far.

I got the energy suspension ones.

Between those, my ES tranny mount and my new tubular K-member and A-arms with spherical rod ends my car should be plenty noisy.

I have the proeurethanes. They are great mounts, just make sure you get the stock style tranny mount or you will get some bad vibration. Get a drill and a drill bit and drill them out. Then use a nut and a bolt to bolt them back together.

I have heard that you either want to run all rubber, or all poly mounts. Mixing the two can cause vibration. I dont know, just what i have heard.

I run poly motor, tranny and tq arm mounts in my car. Vibrations arent bad at all.
