How do you fix an erratic idle

I have replaced the ICM which made the symptoms better, but not totally gone. If I sit at a light I can watch the idle bounce up and down, the car also surges a little. The longer the car is at idle the worse it gets. At first the idle will jump around from 900 to 1,050 and then in time it will be 500 to 900. If I use the AC the will not idle w/o giving it gas. I don't think there is a vacuum leak because the intake was just taken off to install new pushrods and lifters. My great G2 cold air kit does not fit snug with the stock airbox, could that cause it? I don't know what to look for next? Thanks for the help!!

Mark

Re: How do you fix an erratic idle

I had it data scanned, but I don't have any of the info. with me. My car is a 93, but it has been converted to mas-air. I have a LT4 hotcam, ported heads and SLP headers to name a few things.

I tried checking for vacuum leaks by spraying brake cleaner, but I could not find anything. This really sucks.

Re: How do you fix an erratic idle

could be your IAC or clogged injectors, if you're sure its not missfire.
