whats a flashing ses light mean?
Re: whats a flashing ses light mean?
probably an intermtent problem like a loose wire or something that gets moved around abit when hitting a bump in the road or something but only a scan will tell you for sure.
Re: whats a flashing ses light mean?
Flashing usually indicates an issue that should be immediately addressed. Commonly, a misfire that is causing too much fuel to be sent downstream to the cats. If not corrected, cat damage can result.

A FLASHING SES LIGHT!!!!!!!!!!!
And you still drive your car?
As sensitive as the SES light is "goes on if a light bulb is out"
I'd be on the First Tow truck to the GM dealer!!!!

Re: whats a flashing ses light mean?
well - i have a 97 and it was wrecked and rebuilt completely - my SES light is on all time becuase of my skip shift eliminated (previous owner didnt do properly and i pan on fixing this week cause dont like light to be on and not know if something else) anyway i have a code scanner and every now and then my SES light will flash -
i scanned codes and my code was a misfire- changed plugs and wires turned out 4 and 8 were shot (plugs) since then no problems... light flashed yesterday ... scan... now O2 sensor is shot... will change this week and see whats up..
bring car to like autozone or something and have codes read- prob misfire or o2 sensor
