If your car is 93-95 then just remove the pump and leave a fuse in, thats it. 96-97 need a tune I believe, of course... you could leave the pump on with 96-97 leave it plugged in just not hooked up to anything

He's deleting the air pump with non emissions headers. I just remembered I forgot to tell you you need a bypass plug cap for the intake. Autozone sells a bypass plug cap assortment pack in their help section that has one that fits.

Took it all off when I did the headers. Since I was already getting a tune I had him tune out the EGR and AIR. EGR blockoff plates can be had off ebay for 10 dollars. Air pump: take off all the pump and brackets and follow all the vacuum lines up to the intake and take them all off. Make sure to cap off any open ports that are showing off the intake.

A signature with some basic info and year of your car would be helpful. The air pumps on the 4th gens are electrically driven so there is no effect on the length of the serpentine belt. On the 3rd gens, however, the air pump was mechanically driven by the serpentine belt. Maybe you have the two confused?
