Question how do you convert 1/8 mile times to 1/4

I just ran my 96z in the 1/8 mile for the first time. My track times were 8.60, 8.62, 8.64. What would my car run in the 1/4 mile with those times?

Thanks

I heard people say, add half. For example if you run 8.0 you should run 12.0. But it didnt work that way for me. It was half +.my 1/8 is 7.78, my 1/4 is 12.17. Hope this helps.

Mutiply that times 1.55 and that should give you a pretty accurate time.

No matter what you cannot figure a 1/4 time out of a 1/8 mile time.

The 1.55 conversion on ET works surprisingly well. You can also get an approximate conversion on MPH by multiplying by 1.25
As long as you understand these are "approximate", and not "exact", it can be done.
