How do you adjust the master cylinder on the Mcleod ST??

How do you adjust the master cylinder on the Mcleod ST??

I've been having trouble getting it into first gear from a dead stop and can't get into reverse at all without the car off. so i think i just need to adjust the master cylinder on my ST because it wasn't doin it before i had my motor pulled. any help would be great thanks!

if i remember correctly (which i might not) the rod end on the peddle has an adjustment on it. just make sure your peddle is all the way to the top when you put it back on. i never had an issue out of mine .

If I remember correctly the instructions say to adjust the master cylinder so that the pedal rests one inch below the brake pedal. The master cylinder has a spherical rod end that screws in and out to set the pedal depth

All you have to do is loosen the nut and screw the rod end in the direction you need it to go and then hold it in place while you tighten the nut down on it

I just did mine over the weekend, and the instructions said to set the clutch pedal 1 inch below the brake pedal.

Just unhook the clip from the clutch pedal and back off the jamb nut and you can rotate the rod end to the correct position then tighten the jamb nut and clip the rod back on the pedal.

Is all this right behind the clutch pedal, with a rubber boot over it? also what will i need to rotate the rod? thanks!

not under the boot on the peddle itself
break the nut loose with a wrench then you can turn the rod by hand.
