How do these head flow numbers look?

These are stock LT1 camaro castings that have only been slightly ported and cleaned.

LIFT Int. Exh.
.100 62 51
.200 130 109
.300 182 156
.400 230 181
.500 255 187
.550 265 193

Does that seem like pretty good flow numbers? I am contemplating on buying this from a local friend of mine? what can be expected if I was to have a valve job done on these heads

I think they are good!

How much was he selling them to u for? What is the .600? Just to see if the numbers are still increasing or decreasing...

I will have to find out what the .600 numbers are. But I am almost positive they were still increasing. But for the time being I am going to be using a LT4 hotcam for at least another 6 month or so.
Oh and he is selling them to me for 200. He owed me from some parts I had given him.

That's what I thought.

Do you think a valve job on them would help out any?

Have them tested. If they leak any fluid then a valve job/springs would be a good thing. If not, then run them and save a few bucks.

So the valve job is not going to net hardly any power. If so, then I will just bolt these puppies right on.

Should these heads work good with an LT4 hotcam kit?

Those mid flow numbers are awesome, they should work great with a hot cam. I would still have everything checked, if the springs are weak or the valves are leaking then the car will feel like it's towing a boat behind it.

the hotcam has .525/.525 lift, so with 1.6rr's, you'll be making .560/560 lift. If the heads are still flowing well at .600 lift, then yes, you will make some REAL good numbers for sure.

Cool man, thanks. Do you have any idea how much a shop will charge to flow a set of heads? I know different shops have different prices, but maybe a round about price.

That would be the hotter cam. GM PN 8675309

Just kidding.

You only really need one chamber flowed. Usually it's like $25 per chamber so you only want one chamber flowed, unless you've got alot of spare $$ laying around. And in that case, send it to me instead and I'll send you any flow numbers you want.
