How do I remove the dowl pin from a cam?

How do I remove the dowl pin from the cam? I have taken the cam to a machine shop and the worker was unable to remove it.

Any suggestions?

Some people have mentioned that it can just be pulled out with a little pressure or sometimes tapped in further with a hammer. On all the cams i've gotten the dowel pin has been pressed in and wasn't going to budge. The machine shop should be able to get it out some how. They could try to drill it out and replace it with another pin.

A machine shop is your best bet. Try another one.

Yeah you have to have a dowel pin puller. If they can deck a block they have one.
