How do I remove crank pulley?

http://www.streetillusionsracing.com...movepulley.jpg

This one...the 3 bolts holding it on. I dont have an impact gun, but I do have a break bar. When I put it on there, the whole crank just turns. Am I still supposed to turn it counter-clockwise to loosen like the rest of the bolts?

the pulley try pb blaster and try hitting it with a piece of wood and a hammer on the bottom. After a while you should be able to like shimmy it off. The bottom will be loose (from hitting it), then you pull at the top to try and get it to come out some then the bottom again. Untill it comes off. Or at least that's how I got mine off for the first time now it comes of much easier no hammering required! The hub is a whole nother story though.

oh your having trouble gettting the bolts out I'm sorry um if you have a flywheel turner I'd use that definitly. But if not just try holding the pully as you turn it w/ the breaker bar. It takes a lot of muscle but you should be able to do it. As a last resort I would try sticking something through it to try to stop it from turning. I have found from experiance this doesn't work very well or maybe I just don't have enough useless junk laying around to jam in there.

I have found that if you put a breaker bar on the bolt, and put a little pressure on it, then hit the breaker bar handle with a hammer it will shock the bolt loose.

If I remember the way I did it, I left the serpentine belt on and broke the bolts loose. Then I took the belt off.

Yea I got them off thanks guys. I got off both of the pulleys. The front rusted guy with the 3 bolts, and then the actaul belt pulley behind it. It has been taken off before, so I could jes knock it off with my hands while prying with a screwdriver.

Theres no special way to put it back on is there? I jes make sure the holes line up how it was on there before?

They only go on one way.

Make sure you mark your Pulley so you remember how to put it back on. Or you can just set it at TDC. The pulley has to line up with the crank hub.

Like CamaroBoy96Z28 said, the pulley can only go on one way, so there is no need to mark it. The spokes are not symmetrical.

Cool

hey man have you tried a puller yet all you do is put the three bolts in the puller and screw them into the pulley then tighten down the big bolt in the middle and it will pull it right off
