I am putting one on this winter and going to the track as soon as it opens.

But i have never had a car with Stall converter.

IT is going to be around 3000 stall (still looking for one)

I have just basic bolt ons 3:73 gears and Drag Radials (hope the rear will hold up) and the stock trans with 90k miles

So how should i launch this thing

 

Would also like to know since I will be throwing a midwest 2800 stall with some 3.42's in this summer.

 

I launch my 3000 off just a tad above idle. Traction is still very limited even with DR's.

 

I also just give the car a little gas while sitting at the line and then floor it. My 10 bolt has been standing up just fine so far after numerous trips to the track.

 

Dragon, those are really good times with those mods...hopefull i'll get something similiar once i get goin

 

I leave off idle, wait till the last light comes down and smack the gas to about half throttle, engine revs up and gets on the convertor hard, personally I think you get more tourqe multiplication this way then foot stalling it up but thats just my opinion.

 

How does the car fell difrent with a larger stall?
Racing and just daily driving?
