What is the current cap color for a Delphi Opti? Just bought a new Delphi Optispark from thepartsladi and am concerned it may not be a genuine Delphi. The box had a Delphi label with the correct part number, but that could easily be a knockoff label. The box was NOT the correct shape for the opti and it was packed with used newspaper ( Doesn't seem like OEM packaging to me). I did not open it and I already installed it, because I couldn't wait. The car is running fine now, but just replaced an $60 ebay knockoff that lasted 10 miles before sputtering at high rpm. This message board raves about optis from thepartsladi, but if they are passing of non-OEM as Delphi we should make everyone aware. If I did indeed receive a Delphi, I would also like to rave about thepartsladi.

 

I have seen numerous posts about the non-standard packing from thepartsladi, but the product seems to be ok.

 

I have a 40 one from ebay. 3000 miles now and I run the pis$ out of it. Mine didn't have newspaper packaging.
