How do bleed the cooling system......
I replaced the coolant sensor for the temp gauge last weekend, when we did I lost a lot of coolant out of the hole. After we replaced it I added more coolant. Well now the car runs a bit hotter so I think it has air in the system. How do I bleed the system?
The way I've always done it was to run the car until it warmed up, then open up the bleed screws on the coolant lines by the thermostat. Once coolant starts flowing out of those lines, close them off and you should be good. Some people also turn their heater on full blast, but I don't think that is entirely necessary.

I've found that this works well.
Remove theromostat, and fill block.
Open vent nearest th thermostat and fill rad slowly till coolant comes out.
Close first vent open second, and keep topping rad up till coolant comes out of it.
Close second vent.
Finished.
No muss, no fuss, just go slow.
