how to check resistance on power window switches?
how to check resistance on power window switches?
my passenger side window is slow AGAIN... this is the third one that i've done for that side all covered by warranty. i'll replace the motor and it'll work but not very fast, then gradually burn out till its time to get a new one.
how do i check the resistance on the switches? could they be making it run slow / like crap?

Here is a schematic. Just plug your meter into the appropriate location and read ohms when you operate the switch.
Notice that some connections are fed to the RH switch from the LH one, so you might want to check both switches and maybe wiring.

Another problem is that people aren't greasing the regulator and rollers when they change the motor. Also check all the window positioning adjusters, they can be putting undo force on the window.

this schematic is difficult to understand. does each power window motor ground out at the power window motor or does it go to a centralized place to ground out?
