How to check fuel system...

I need to know how. I'm not wanting to check pressure I just need to know how to check for signal. It seems I might be having issues either there or in the charging system. Thanks!

What kind of "signal" are you looking for? There are no interfaces to the PCM from the fuel system, other than the signal from the PCM that allows the relay to turn the fuel pump on and off. There is a fuel pump "prime" connection near the PCM that allows you to test the operation of the pump control system. Are you talking about possible voltage problems at the pump?

The PCM will prime the pump for about 5 seconds when you first cut the key on to pressurize the system and get the car started. After that it runs power to the fuel pump via the oil pressure sending unit, if there's no pressure, it'll kill the fuel to shut the motor down.

I would probably be looking for voltage or what not. I am in the process of eliminating the alternator as the problem. And on top of everything else a coolant leak has surfaced. Only noticed it because when we were looking at the battery we noticed a spray coming from the belt. I hate Mondays!
