how can you tell if your icm is goneing bad

To day my car died when i tried to crank it back up it back fires and gauges went crazy go it started drove home easy and when i got home it home and cut it off same problem so i thought it was the coil i replace it .still same problem car crank up but took it down the road and it start to run rough i have a brand new opti from gm that i had put on about 6 mouths ago could it be my ICM or what need help thanks.

i'd love to help, but i didnt understand a single thing other than u got home and ur car died, and u changed the coil...

danm dude, may want to learn to speak and type proper before you do any work on a car. i barely understood what that said. try checking your plugs to see how they are.

When my ICM went I was going down the highway and the car just died. It would crank, but wouldn't fire.
