Yes. GM Performance Parts made a carb intake for the LT1. You can use a conventional distributor as well.... just have to squeeze it under the cowl.

GMPP makes a dual plane carb intake for the LTx. If you wan tto go single plane you have to have the LT1 bolt pattern drilled in a SBC manifold

Something esle you may want to find out is if a carb will fit under a stock hood or not. I really have no idea although i would think that it would be a pretty tight fit if it would.
