How can i tell if my engine is stroked?
Hello, many of you have seen my posts in the lt1/lt4 threads about me making a dumb decision in buying a 96 z28 camaro with supposebly a 383 stroker with no papers. i need to know what steps i can make in finding out if the engine is indeed stroked? Thanks
The only way to make sure is to take it in to measure the stroke (piston travel) at a shop. UNLESS, you know what it's supposed to sound like stroked or some noticable features I may not know about until someone can pitch in.
I know that in some cu.in. restricted race classes they pump the motor to catch cheaters. So there is equipment out there that can determine cuibic inches without tearing it down.
