You heard wrong....well at least not every case is easy.
It wasn't the hardest thing I've ever done on these cars but it wasn't by any stretch easy.

You will probably need to remove the starter for clearance reasons not saftey reasons. You will need to disconnect the battery for saftey reasons and to protect the car in case you start arching wires. It only takes a second....why not do it?

Yeah, but I was just wondering if you HAD to or if it was precautionary
All I heard about Jet Hot's is that you need to get the front end up really high and have good clearance or else they won't fit. I never really heard about them being that hard.

Lots of sparks and even a little chunk melted out of the wrench.
If you are really careful you proabably dont have to though.

Yeah, I thought about removing the battery as a whole as well with the starter, oil filter, and oil pan.

Don't mistankenly rush into this man. If the catback gave you issues, Headers will be a nightmare.
You wont need to or be able to get the pan off, but go ahead and remove the starter and oil filter. You gonna get new wires and plugs too?
There is seriously alot of stuuf to remove and install. Lots to be considered.

I really do not want to play with lowering the engine cradle at this time. How long are those 6 bolts holduing it all in? I hear about peopel lowering it a few inches, the bolts that long???
The cradle lowering is not that bad, the bolts are fairly long. If you remove the bolts on one side (only 3 per side) and then loosen the ones on the other side, you can pry down on the cradle to get the little extra clearance you need.
Re: how can i jack this up this high?
I won't be putting them in till I visit my dad in IL in May. There will be 3 people working on this
I already have the plugs/wires that I'll be putting in as well. I know this is gonna be a nightmare, and I can't wait
I have a little over a month to figure out when I'm gonna put these on etc. The only reason the catback was a nightmare was because I didn't have a lot of ground clearance. I def. learned from my mistakes from that!

Re: how can i jack this up this high?
put the back tires on some car ramps. then get some 3 ton jack stands (or your SUV jack stands) and set the front of the car on those. i used 3 ton jack stands for my car when i dropped the engine out. they gave me enough clearance to drop the whole motor out and slide it away on a motorcycle lift and they werent even fully extended. 3 ton jack stands are $25 at walmart. btw, i had to use an engine hoist to get my car up that high. i attached an engine balancer to the shock towers in the engine bay and then to the hoist and lifted it from there. sounds complicated, but honestly didnt take that long.
Re: how can i jack this up this high?
Welp i got the car VERYT high and they slid right in like a peice of cake on both sides.
I took some pics with my camera phone, you guys should get a ocuple good laughs at the way we did it. Worked well though. I did not use the rear rhino rams as the car didnt feel stable with it on there and i was abole to lifdft the nose WAYYYYY up without bottoming out the back bumper.

Re: how can i jack this up this high?
I have done Jet hotts on my car twice, I had to remove the starter, Alternator, passenger side mount bolt, steering linkage.
I found removing these items made the job 2 hours or less putting them in after the stock **** was out. ( that took forever)
Drivers side slid in no problem, The passenger side after removeing the mount bolt, I used a jack to lift the motor and give me clearance to get the header in.
I also just did pacesetter LT's on my dads, 95 t/a. After removing the same items as above it was cake.

Re: how can i jack this up this high?
I got tired of reading all the off topic posts so if this is a duplicate answer then sorry!
I went to home depot and got 4 of these concrete Deck supports they are about 8-9 inches high and are wider at the base so it wont rock around like normal cinder blocks.. I also picked up a few solid 4" thick 8X16 cinder blocks
I pulled the front tires up onto my ramps, then jacked the rear up onto my jack stands. I then jacked the front up higher and layed the 4" wide block on it's side on top of the ramps, then I went back to the rear jacked it up and layed another 4" wide block on it's side under the jackstands.
going back and forthe to keep it mostly even the whole time. I then moved back up to the front and jacked it up higher and placed the 8-9" deck supports on top of the 4" blocks then I moved to the rear and did the same.
My front tires sat on top of Ramps + 4" concrete block + 8-9" concrete block.
My rear end axle tubes were on, 4" concrete block + 8-9" concrete block + fully extended jackstands.
I didn't do headers but this was to pull my tanny! and it got it high enough to get the tranny out while the tranny was still on the jack, I say damn near 30+" so that should get you the height you need!
BTW, this was very secure it sat like that for about 3-4 weeks with me banging and gerking everything around under it.
