A bigger throttle body is the best way to get better throttle response. the bigger it is, the better the throttle response is.

Will these things contribute to rough idle as well?

My suggestions will only help the idle.
Goign to a bigger TB shouldnt hurt idle, but some brands people have noted idle issues later, most of which eventually are resolved once they figure out what was causing hte higher idle.

Re: how can i get better throttle response????

Several things will help. First off, throttle respose comes from the ability to get air in and out of the engine quicker and more efficiently. That being said, small things like a CAI, Catback, high-flow or no cat, headers are a good place to start. Be sure the car is running the best it can in stock form first, meaning good plugs, o2 sensors, etc. Obviously if you want the most from it, go with heads and cam, larger injectors, and a good program from pcmforless.
