how to break a weld?

ok so im doing my header install right now and I have the y pipe off except for where it meets up after the rear cat. The guy who installed my cat back exhaust welded it to the y pipe. My question is how can I break that weld to get the pipe off? It isn't fully welded around just on the sides.

Thanks
Decker

Hacksaw

If the weld is any good at all, you won't be able to break the pipe loose without damaging the pipe. Just use a hacksaw... good workout.

Just cut it and tie it up so it won't fall down, then go to your exhaust shop and have them weld in a small piece of pipe.

Oh, and a sawzaw is much faster.

I heard if you spray Nawz you can blow the welds on your intake manifold!

So in other words, you're saying I can flatten the hump in my passenger side floorboard, or better yet remove it completely via nawz? Do I need 2 bottles (the big ones, by tonight)?
