How bad would it be...
.... to put some thick oil, like some Lucas addative thick stuff, to cover up a rod knock for a little while, just so I can drive the car untill the shop has room to do my motor swap?
I've already got another motor to swap my heads/cam over to with a new oil pump and new lifters. Is there any possiability that I could mess up the heads/cam doing this?
I'm not talking about going out and beating on the car, I just want to beable to drive it for a little while, I miss the lope of the cam the sound of the exhaust and just being in the car.

If something more were to happen to that rod, it could ruin your whole day. OTOH, it might survive for a little while. It's a roll of the dice. If you drive it much you will most likely need a crankshaft.

I've got a whole new motor, crank and everything. That's why I just asked about the heads/cam.
