i cant even remember now if i used any or not. Unless it had some on the bolts i used i didnt. Honestly i had never heard that you needed to do this till now, and ive had my engine together for over a year now, with no apparent problems.

im kinda worried now...... should i be?

It's not like you are going to rip it apart to change anything, so why worry about it? Just be alert in case you notice some symptoms.

I agree with shoebox.
Reason you use it is because the headbolts screw down into the water jacket of the block. they CAN leak but apparently yours don't so Id say your AOK

Some of those bolts will go into the coolant passage and some time you can get a coolant leak out of the cylinder head bolts. If you did not use any sealent and you dont see any leaks or milky oil then I would say your fine. But it is not required to take it apart and re-do it. It is recomended to put sealent on the bolts so if there is a next time I would put some sealent on tose bolts.

A small amount could at first get in the chamber (turned to steam?), more and it will be present in the oil also.
