Likewise, not only that, but im always looking for a race. My car sees a minimal of 2800rpms per red light, and is ran very hard (so im told). With that being said, it spun a rod due to an over rev

I didn't rev my car past 5900... most of the time. There 3 or 4 times (when I was still getting used to my Pro 5.0 shifter) where I hit 2nd gear doing my 3 to 4 shift Which resulted in revving to 6200+ for a few brief moments. The bottom end is/was still in good shape, but I did find that one of the retainers on my valve springs had a huge chunk chipped off. That could have been bad if the chip was bigger...

Hardness scale: 10...I beat on the car daily; hard.

I blew up 2 stock shortblocks, 2 10 bolts, and 3 4L60E's in the past 1.5 yrs I think.

It's still my DD, and the first car I ever owned. Luckily now its slowly become strong enough it doesn't break as "much" *knocks on wood*. It serves its purpose: it gets me to school, it gets me to work, it relieves my stress, and it puts a smile on my face.

I have to change my brake pads every oil change 3k. 2nd trans for this car, ive blown 4 4l60es between F and b-bodys, tires barely last me one season. Its the only camaro to get a jeep unstuck(dont ask) And now its down with a spun rod bearing with 89k on it. (Again dont ask how). As far as stock bottom ends alot of caprices out there have been beat to **** by police then passed onto civilans with over 200k on stock bottom end motors. Look at NYC caprice cabs the hell they are put through and the odometers.

I over-reved mine to damn near 6500, on a missed 3rd gear resulting in 1st for a second. Still runs great!

about a 6 maybe 7, the car is never driven hard unless it's warmed up, it sees 5200 rpm atleast 2-3 times a day, stock top and bottom, stock exhaust. I didn't buy it to drive it like a toyota camry. it's got 150km's on the clock and it's goin strong with 14.1 in the 1/4 on junk tires at 1049 metres above sea level.
i dont for see the motor dying any time soon
