I've swapped out an opti at the track in just over an hour.

I did not even jack the car up.
Swapped it out in about 4 hrs just piddling along, if I had really tried to go fast an hour would be doable, but you would be flat working as fast as possible.

An hour? You slackers, my buddy and I knocked one out in 35 min, then again we had air tools and both had done it a "few" times.

You really dont even need it in the air. Drain all the coolant out, pull fans, pull off CAI/elbow, 6 bolts on waterpump, pullies off, and then 3 bolts on opti. How easy is that

Here is a nice install page

I wouldn't use the stock jack for anything while im underneath the car, that idea scares me ****less, just get yourself a set of sturdy jack stands and a jack

or ^^^seeing that i dont know anything about optis, read the post above mine... that was 3 responses in 2 minutes, not bad

That really means "Place the jack right here". I think most of use those to jack on, lol.

Go to wallMart and buy a set of rhino ramps. $25 or so, car will pull onto them, and you will be in heaven. Great cheap tool

I worked under my car for 12 hours this weekend with the stock jack. Not saying its a good idea, i would actually advise AGAINST it. But its all i had at the time
