LG Motorsports by far the best.

I had BMR and switched to LG G2 stuff after the BMR stuff failed doing road course duty.

Do a search at LS1.com, LS1tech.com and maybe this site about BMR failures/problems.

Or ask about them at the F-body Road racing, auto-x forum.

BMR does fine for daily use, but won't hold up to much corner carving.

My prior post was a joke. You'll notice the link I provided sends you to Mitch's infamous bmr phb post.

This is RobZ71LM7 from FRRAX.

Moral: you get what you pay for.

I would never argue that LG Motorsports makes some of the the best Auto X products available. But for straight line performace, (if that's what the original poster intended) BMR or Spohn are the way to go. IMHO

What do you guys think of this Quote I got from a local speed shop.

Golden West SFC $188
Labor SFC Install $392
Welding $15

Hotchkis Springs $215
Bilstein shocks $450
Labor & Align $450

Freight $13

Total approx $1800

I should just do the shocks and springs myself.

First... I think you mean "Global West".....

Second, who gave you that quote.... Mr. Greedwrench or Ben Dover? $392 for SFC install? Plus welding? Never heard of anything quite that obscene. $100 max, unless there's some exotic design to the Global's that I'm not aware of.

I did my own shocks and springs.... so that's $450 in my pocket. I would allow no more the 3 hours for both fronts, 1 hour max for the rears, 4 hr total at $75 = $300. Alignment was $65. So I'd say for a "pro" he's at least $100 high on the spring/shock install.

INJ:
no kidding, that quote was pretty nasty. $400 for installing SFC's...you have got to be kidding me. So around $100 bucks is average. I've heard anywhere from $100-200. Anyhow, I plan on doing the shocks and springs myself as soon as I get an extra set of hands. I was curious to what they would charge me. As for the SFC's...I kinda wanted a shop to do it but it looks like I may have to find someone to do it. I just dont want some nimrod mis-aligning my body and have my car crooked. Oh, thanks for correcting my golden to global..darn bbq last night...hangeover...

Way overpriced on the install. I paid 75 bucks to have my Boxed BMRs installed.

ok, so:
BMR good for straight line, bad for heavy corners?
LG good for corners bad for straight line?

Where do others fit here, I plan on getting some SFCs soon, doing my homework now
