Question Hotcam or Nitrous???

I am considering one or the other. I know the nitrous would be a lot easier to install and I could do that myself. For the cam kit I would need to take my car somewhere to get it installed. I was wondering what you guys think would be the better and cheaper way to go. All I have on my car is what is in the sig. Thanks.

BTW- this is a daily driver that doesnt see the track!

I would personally go with the hot cam kit. It may be harder to instal but i think you will like it alot better. If you never take your car to the track the cam should be the logical answer. On the street ( stop light racing ) you wont really be able to use the nitrous. I think you shuold consider some headers too.

The cost would be about equal.
The Hotcam would be the best route for your daily driver
that doesn't see any track time.
I don't think nitrous would be a good choice for you.

actually, the cam would end up being cheaper in the long run.

Yeah, the costs to get the kits and install them (assuming a self install) are roughly the same, but that's not taking the cost of the nitrous itself into account. At $40-$50 a bottle (I guess), it adds up after a while.

The cam's power is always there, and it only costs you more in fuel basically.

The nitrous is only there when you arm the system, and go WOT (depending on how you install it).

You can use a bottle of nitrous in what, less than 2 minutes (10 lb bottle)?

I don't know a lot about nitrous, but IMO the cam would be the better way to go.
