Talking HOTCAM & LT's finished...... OMG!!!!!!

FINALLY after about 2 months of working on the car here and there, i got the hotcam and the headers installed! today i had my mechanic make true duals for me with a x-pipe!! i just drove the car for the first time about 20min ago..... all i can say is HOLY SH*T!!!!!

for the first time im actually amazed with my car!! the power increase is unbelievable! HUGE SOTP increase!! the exhaust sounds GREAT! nice and quiet at idle (loud enough to hear the cam lope) and she SCREAMS at WOT!!!

i thought it was easy to lose control of the car before..... now its insane!! def. going to need some sticky tires!

so for anyone out there debating what to do to their car... i def. suggest HOTCAM and Hooker LT's. Just a world of difference, and not too expensive.

id also like to thank everyone on this board. you guys are great!! it would have been impossible for me to do this without you guys and this site. amazing buch of people you all are!!!

i am running 2 of summits 16" bullet mufflers! they sound great. very nice and smooth, yet still deep. and they were only like $30 each, so i couldnt go wrong!

after my first day of driving around, the problems begin again!! noticed a lack of power after driving around for a while, so i turn into a dark area and open the hood..... FIREWORKS!!!! looks like ALL of my wires are arching but it looks like its coming from the boot my MSD's are on the way, and im running them over the valve covers so hopefully that will take care of that.

Glad the Hot cam kit is working out for u.

I have had nothing but problems with mine, and the car has actually gotten SLOWER with it

My car is a piece of poo, so who knows.

Most ppl have good luck with it.

Do you have tunning done with your car? With mine mods in the sig. before tunning I was only .5-1mph and about .1 faster in the 1/4 than before the kit all together. With the addition of programming from Bryan at pcmforless.com and a lt4 km I gained about 3-4 mph and dropped about .3-.4 off the 1/4.

Very nice, you will have some problems to work out. That's the way it goes with major mods, all you can do is deal with it. The good news is that you're problems are minor. After my heads and cam, here's what I messed up- Ripped oil pan gasket when I removed timing chain cover(doh!), Replace hose that I accidentally routed too close to the belt and it got chafed(DOH!!).

Anyway, I'm impressed with the HOTcam. It's working out great for me. Don't give up, get the problems fixed, and enjoy your car!!

So is PCMforless one of the better mail-in tunings? Are there any others that are better?
