i really want the 'lopey' cam sound, always wanted it lol...

should I go for a hotcam kit? and how much are they? (i believe cheapest would be jason cromer) (looks like 510 from pace perf)

I just dunno if i'll make more power with headers than i would with a hotcam... or some relevant cam

There's only so much power to uncork on a stock engine. If you already have headers, LT's aren't going to magically let loose another 30+ hp beyond what you've got now.

It's cam & valvetrain time.

i said

'my exhaust is pretty damn high flo right now (open headers/stock manifolds)' so i dont have headers... (well i do but they are stock manifolds lol)

i just much rather have the cam sound, and the power that comes with it other than being UBER LOUD cuz i will be running open headers, and even though i want it as loud as i can, i doubt i can live with open long tubes for too long lol

Sorry, I read through it too quickly.

I don't know.. the idea of a cam with manifolds never made any sense to me. A bigger cam wants to breath. Manifolds want to strangle. At least get something like Edelbrocks in there.

Any knock retard issues with running open manifolds? O2's reading correctly?

yeah, i have lt4 KM, and it has been desentized as well, and my rear O2s have been cancelled out, so i'm not having any issues...

my car is running so free flow right now that, i dunno if LTs are guna even help me more (i'm sure they would, what am i saying lol) just the sound of a lopey cam gets me real bad lol

i guess i'll go with headers...

nick, i also thought putting a cam in would have been much easier than installing the damn headers... lol

I think you answered your own question. If you want
the lope get the cam. It's as simple as that.

I'm sorry but the idea of running wide open stock manifolds dosen't make much sense to me. It might be fun once and a while but all the time? Do it right, get the headers then start making a cam decesion.

go with the LTs man and then go with a bigger cam. Dont get me wrong the Hot cam is pretty sweet in its own right and does have some lope to it depending on the tune you get. but LTs will give you the most out of it for the money,

Good Luck,

Exactly how are you running stock manifolds open, do you have a cut-out in the y-pipe?
