Has anyone tried this? I got a hotcam for free and want some more lift out of it. Scorpin makes a set 1.7s for $222. Are these good rockers. I know most stay away from the 1.7s on the LT1.

 

Most would tell you to get the lift you want out of the cam the first time. But I would say since you got it for free to go for it. It has been discussed on here before and has been done. If you are looking for a 20-30 rwhp gain, it won't do it. Some people have claimed 10 rwhp from upgrading to 1.7 though.

Just make sure your valve springs can support the added lift as the hot cam kit springs won't. And check to make sure your pushrod length is correct.
