The only thing I would add to that would be a tune for your pcm. As far as places to get deals, I would check the for sale forum on this site. I'm sure it's saved me 1000's of dollars over the years.

I would spend a little extra money and go with some slightly stronger springs, especially if you are going to be doing 1.6 rockers along with the Hotcam.

I keep hearing that.... somone clarify this for me....

the max lift on the lt4 springs are .550 from what I read... hotcam with 1.6 rockers is .525 lift...

the lt4 "kit" comes with lt4 springs and 1.6 rockers...

why do so many people recomment to get better springs w/ the hotcam?

Yeah those lifters should work fine. You won't need some high dollar lifters for your setup. You might look at picking up a hot cam kit as you can get the whole kit pretty cheap and get some 1.6's roller rockers with it. They should add a good 10rwhp to the setup.

imho.. you're already going to be doing the valvetrain.... why not throw those on.... it's not that much extra money, and is one of the better bang for you buck mods

if you aren't going to be getting ur pcm tuned, i think it would be wiser to put the rockers on, instead of the cam.

There are enough hotcam tunes floating around that i wouldn't buy one anyways. You can get near perfect hotcam tunes if you look around. You just need to find someone to flash your pcm for you.

just make sure you have the budget set for expensive sells and specialty tools that you may need.

I would look for the Hotcam kit... I think it comes with everything needed.... I think.
