Hot Cam people
Hot Cam people
Right now my car (93 auto firehawk) is pretty much stock(has stock ram air setup, and exhaust cut-out). What I am looking for is about 350-370 rwhp. I'd like to use the Hot Cam for emission, street driveability, and for a good torquey ride. My question is, what type of head work would i need to do in order to get at my goal? I plan on doing full bolt ons as well. Headers will be Mac Mids. Please revise my plan as you see fit.
That RWHP is a little high for a hotcam car. It could be done though. I would take the heads to Lloyl Elliot for the port work. He is by far the best for LT1 heads. Do a search for him to get his E-mail and contact info. As for other mods. It wouldnt hurt to port out the intake while your there and maybe a get a bigger throttle body. Other than that, Make sure you get all the bolt ons. A electric water pump would also help free up some horsepower. A be sure to get a good mail order tune or dyno tune. That will be the key to getting your horsepower.

The CC305 or 306 probably. Look in the GP forum or go to www.CombinationMotorsports.com
You can do that with the Hotcam, but once you P/P your heads, you're better off with a custom cam. That way you will get the best driveability, and the best gains.
I've been VERY impressed with Advanced Induction lately www.advancedinduction.com Look at their head porting prices, and their cams to go with it. They are making 400+ rwhp with heads, cam, and MAC mids.
