Hot Cam dyno results

Put the old LT1 on the dyno today to make sure everything was good with the car and so here are the results.

Car: 93' 6-speed with 150,000

Mods:
CAI
Pacesetter LT's
2.5" true duals with Spintech mufflers
Hot Cam
Crane Golds 1.6
LT4 springs
LS7 lifters
Comp hardened pushrods

The car made 323hp and 335trq on a DynoJet uncorrected.

I'm pretty happy with it. I got most of the parts for free and got a free install too. Hopefully I can make it to the track soon for some new times.
Quick pick of the car:

That car looks like it's in great shape for that many miles. Nice #'s by the way.

Cam has been in for about 600 miles and it has a mail order tune from PCM's For Less. A/F is pretty good right now.

Interesting... did you ask the dyno operator how your car compared to others on his dyno?

I dynoed 322rwhp/333rwtq on a mustang dyno. The difference between my car and yours is I'm running mac mid length headers, a cat, madz28 tune and stock rocker arms. I asked the dyno operator at the time how my numbers compared to other cars and he said it was right about what a stock LS1 put down on his dyno. That leads me to believe that the dyno I was on was set up to read similar to your average dynojet.

I'm going to install some 1.6 rockers I have and go back to see if they'll make a difference. The best thing to do would have been dyno the car, install the rockers without removing the car from the dyno, and run it again... but thats not realistic for me to try.

Based on what I've seen on the board, I'm not expecting to see too much. I'm also wondering at what point it be comes beneficial to use long tubes with their larger primaries... I've seen plenty of dyno sheets thrown up on the board over the years, but not enough testing to come to anything conclusive.

I would bet you see some gain with 1.6 RR, especially since stock cam cars gain 10+ rwhp and I know of a guy with heads and hotcam that gained 18 rwhp with 1.7RR over 1.6's.

Are your TD run under the third member?

Cool! Your combo is just really interesting to me cause youve got LT's, true duals, and a mild cam. There have been a lot of exhaust debates here over the years over LT's being superior to mids/shorties and true duals vs single 3inch systems. Its interesting to see someone with a "maxed out" exhaust and a common camshaft. Theres a lot of cars running hot cams out there to compare yours too.

Do you have any sound clips or videos of your car? I'd love to hear it!

My third member is located INSIDE the car! All joking aside I think your talking about the tunnel brace? I actually had to take mine off for the duals. Idle clip should be up soon.
