Horsepower Question

Im sure you all have seen questions like this before, but I did not quite see what I was looking for. I am debating on getting on LT1 or an LS1. My question would be what kind of HP can I look to get from the following set up on an LT1 with an auto transmisson:

Comp Cams 218 / 224, .495 / .502, 112LSA
GTP / Thunder Racing STAGE 2 LT1 Cylinder Heads
Strange 3.73 Gear Ratio
Vigilante 9.5" Single Disk Lock-up Torque Converter 3200 stall
B&M Supercooler Transmission Cooler
BMR Subframe Connectors
Thunder Racing Heat Treated Chrome-Moly Pushrods, 7.200"
Hooker Cat-Back Exhaust System
Hooker Super Competition Long Tube Headers
SLP Cold Air Induction

I think that is it. Thanks in advance for all your help.

Re: Horsepower Question

Well, I would just go and get your stock heads ported by Lloyd Elliot. Less expensive, and great headwork.

With the cam you spec'd out, it should put you in the 360 rwhp range I'm guessing with an A4 and a stall.

Re: Horsepower Question

How about with this cam?

Comp Cams "Extreme" LT1 Camshaft, 230 / 236, .510 / .520 112 LSA

Thanks.

Re: Horsepower Question

LE ported stock heads with the CC306 hits about 400 rwhp with a M6. With an auto, drop that by maybe 20 rwhp?

Of coarse that's with all the right supporting mods. I think you would only need to add bigger injectors and tuning you your list.

you need to measure your push rod length, dont just throw in those 7.2's . you dont know how much of a differance those heads are from your factory heads, taller or shorter (most likely shorter).

Absolutely, and I suggest using one of the custom cams Bret ground to match the heads.
The LE2 heads work very nice for a 350, toss in any of the LE1 or LE2 cams and enjoy the ride!
You should be reaching towards 380-400rwhp

Cold air intake, long tube headers, a free flowing catback and a custom tune are a must to get the most out of that setup.
3.73s and an 3200 stall converter will make it much more fun to drive

Hit page 4 of my cardomain site (in the sig) to find a shopping list for the heads/cam install.
