I would look at how the heads flow first. Then decide how much compression. A good cam with lower flowing heads can perform better than a good flowing head with to much cam.

You might even try a small cam. Seen some what you would consider small cammed cars run hard.

Just got the car tuned today at ARE, for some reason numbers are very low, I think the porting job on the heads 3-4 years ago was a poor one. Also, i think the LPE 219/219 cam is not the optimal cam for my car.

Here are the power mods:

LPE 219/219 cam 560",560"@112 LSA
ported heads
ported intake
58mm TB
3.73 gears
borla exhaust (cat back)
1 5/8" Edelbrock headers (no cat)
2600 stall TC
1.6 RR
Holley ignition
Trans Go shift kit
LT1 Edit tune

3-4 years ago when I had the cam/head package installed, car dynoed at 318hp/308tq, last night I got 308hp/320tq with ni sign of knock either. Car is much smoother now and driveability has drastically increased. Car feels like it pulls harder, will verify saturday at the track

Best time to date: 13.07@105.78
Saturday:??????

Anyone else experience low dyno numbers on a a4 LT1 with a cam/head package?

Thanks
Those numbers and times are very low. I think your problem is that you are running a cam that looks like it is designed for ls1 heads and that you have ****ty headers. also 167,000 km is definately not alot of miles!
