Horsepower numbers low?

Just got the car tuned today at ARE, for some reason numbers are very low, I think the porting job on the heads 3-4 years ago was a poor one. Also, i think the LPE 219/219 cam is not the optimal cam for my car.

Here are the power mods:

LPE 219/219 cam 560",560"@112 LSA
ported heads
ported intake
58mm TB
3.73 gears
borla exhaust (cat back)
1 5/8" Edelbrock headers (no cat)
2600 stall TC
1.6 RR
Holley ignition
Trans Go shift kit
LT1 Edit tune

3-4 years ago when I had the cam/head package installed, car dynoed at 318hp/308tq, last night I got 308hp/320tq with ni sign of knock either. Car is much smoother now and driveability has drastically increased. Car feels like it pulls harder, will verify saturday at the track

Best time to date: 13.07@105.78
Saturday:??????

Anyone else experience low dyno numbers on a a4 LT1 with a cam/head package?

Thanks

Ya Anthony my numbers are bad as well
293rwhp and 337rwtq
no headwork but I have an aftermarket cam.
I dont think dyno numbers mean a whole lot cause the LS1 boys kill me on the dyno and I kill them at the track

Those combo's should be good for at lest 340rwhp plus minimum.
Heads must not have been done well at all.
Shot I make 286rwhp with no headers, cam or hed work.

Well, what type of dyno? Mustang or dynojet?

Any flow #'s on the heads?

What was the AFR WOT?

What type of tq? What STR?

Dyno #'s are great to brag about...but don't get ET's & MPH's...take my car, I dynoed 359/450 on a dynojet and ran those times in the sig....with some weight reduction, but not much.

dynojet,
no flow #'s on the heads, most ;likely a stage one, i didn't know any better at the time, hence I just told him to port my heads...

AFR@WOT is optimized as it was tuned on last night using LT1 edit on a wideband dyno...

thansk for your help, I think the engine is tired as well as it has about 167,000 km and the heads were done poorly, also cam is not the proper one for my car..

trey,

based on my mods, if you wer in my shoes what cam would you select? granted I know it depends on teh heads, but lets say on average ported LT1 heads...

glad to see your going to Cedar Point, let me know when your heading to Windsor,

I dunno, REALLY depends on goals, car and a multitude of of other factors?

stroke, compression, goals, how high you are willing to rev, what your heads flow and how they flow...

Xe 224/230 is a good off the shelfer
