Horrible Clicking Noise

I was driving home lat night and stopped at a friends house. About 15 minutes later left and when ever i hit the gas i heard this horrible clicking noise. The only time you here it is when the clutch is in and i hit the gas, otherwise u never even here it. Just wondering if anybody has had this before or just knows what the problem is.

Need to provide more info.

Any idea at all where the noise is coming from..... front of car, rear of car, engine compartment, tranny? What do you mean by "when the clutch is in" - disengaged? As in - it makes a clicking noise when you rev it with the clutch disengaged?

I had a bolt work its way loose till it made contact with a moving part and made a clicking. Have you done anything to the car lately?

mine is doing the same thing right now...i am in the process of investigating it. I put in a new clutch about 6,000 miles ago with a shim installed. I have a feeling that the clutch is worn down and it has something to do with that.
