Does anyone know the pricing and the part number for hooker lt's and ceramic coated lt's?

$499 uncoated, $699 coated.

www.ls1speed.com it's like HOK1200 or something like that. It's the only set of hooker headers they have for LT1s, so it's not like you directly need the part #.

If you get Jet hot's, they come coated for $530. and are based on the same design, except thicker flange and thicker primaries. They also come standard with O2 bungs ($65 extra on the hookers)

yes yes yes...get the jet hot LT's they are identical to hookers just a little better quality...beware.....if you put them in yourself.....the 6 inches of steering column that sticks out of the firewall after the knuckle is unbolted..is your worst enemy. passenger side is cake.

also for the forward O2 sensors, you will have to get O2 sensor wire extensions, jet hot sells them if you get the long tubes through them.

Yes it needs to be unbolted, some have installed them without taking it apart but it will make your life much easier if you just unbolt the steering linkage.

LTs

you have to unbolt the knuckle..the piece that has the 2 UV joints in it. And to make it a little easier, take out the drivers side engine mount and bracket. I didnt take out the whole steering column itself. I put both headers in throught the top, the drivers side needs a little persuasion via a rubber mallet and a deadblow hammer, but the passenger side was really easy. It helps to remove the dipstick guide i think, i didnt try to put the header in with it still bolted on the motor. it just looked like it was going to be in the way. You MUST lift the motor up, there is no other possible way to do it, except for completely removing the k-member and dropping the motor, which was wayyyyy tooo much work for me.

I have installed Hooker LTs on 2 different LT1s ....mine and a friends 95 firebird.
I did not need to lift the motor on either one, headers went in from the bottom pretty easily once the car was high enough off the ground.
